Det handlar om den unga hattmakerskan Sofie, som efter att i flygande fläng ha mött den stilige trollkarlen Haruru, stöter på dennes fiende, Ödeshäxan. Together, Sofie and Calcifer try to break the enchantment that binds them. Both guests are huge Miyazaki buffs, and Josh is well-known for not being an ecstatic fan of every Miyazaki film.
