    I’ve used many different shampoos from several different brands since I started my healthy relaxed hair journey in 2014.

    I’ve also found that my hair holds moisture longer during the week.

    I plan to continue to use it as my first lather shampoo and follow it up with a sulfate-free shampoo. It was actually perfect timing because Ulta had it on sale. The shampoo was the Joico Moisture Recovery Shampoo. Mostly because of the cost and because I didn’t think salon products would make any big difference to my hair if I used them at home.

    I rarely used a salon hair brand unless I received it for free, or went to the hair salon. I got the 33.8 oz because the store I went to was out of the smaller size.

  • It lathers really well. This rich, creamy cleanser replenishes lost moisture while gently removing impurities, leaving your hair feeling clean, soft, and nourished.

    Especially when I get my hair soaking wet.

  • A little bit goes a long way so if you have the larger bottle it should last you a while.
  • It has Hydrolyzed Keratin in the ingredient list which doesn’t bother me as I don’t have much protein in my hair regimen right now.

    I’ve found that using the Joico Moisture Recovery Shampoo helps me to have a good hair week because it does a good job of removing product buildup without drying out my hair so I have a clean palette to work with.

        The result? At first, I was only using it every few weeks but now I’m using it more frequently as I feel like it does a good job of cleaning my hair without completely stripping it.
