Unable to exceed 1500 rpm, Cummins replaced the gear pump with is built into the high pressure injector pump. That request was denied by Cummins. The Cummins tech replaced all the injectors (common rail).
I made it 5 miles from Charleston where my boat was commissioned.

I had to take my boat for electronics installation about 120 miles away and Cummins said they could replace the injectors there.
At this point, Cummins said I had 3 leaky fuel injectors. The problems were in someways similar to Doug Snider’s problems. The Cummins tech returned days later to replace the push rod and adjust the rockers.

This problem concerns my Cummins QSB 6.7 355 horsepower engine.

Fuel pressure should get up to 28,000 psi or more. It was normal they said.
I made it to CT and requested Cummins to come fix the two problems. After several phone calls, Cummins finally agreed to do a cylinder leak down test on the cylinder that the valve and piston hammered each other on. The first time they came, they said everything was fine.
