    Symtom

    Måttligt svår akne (papulopustulös akne), är mer inflammatorisk än komedoakne och består av röda knottror (papler) och varfyllda knottror (pustler).

    Papel orsakas av en liten till måttlig inflammation och kännetecknas genom en liten upphöjd knottra i huden som ibland är öm. 

    Pustel orsakas av en inflammation i talgkörteln och visas som en ytlig avgränsad varbildning i huden.

    Skattning enligt Hurley bör göras på alla HS-patienter vid diagnostidpunkten.

    Hurley grad I

    Abscesser/inflammatoriska noduli utan hypertrofiska ärr eller fistelgångar.

    Hurley grad II

    Återkommande abscesser med fistelgångar och hypertrofiska ärr, antingen enstaka eller multipla spridda.

    Hurley grad III

    Diffust utspridda abscesser och konglomerat med kommunicerande fistelgångar.

    Skattning enligt Hurley är ett statiskt mått som huvudsakligen visar hur långt sjukdomen har fortskridit vid skattningstidpunkten.

    Mild electrical impulses are passed into the body through wires placed below the navel, on the lower back, or inside the rectum or vagina. Frequent and persistent UTI can lead to chronic inflammation inside the bladder. Används fr a för att värdera effekt av biologiska läkemedel.

    I den kliniska vardagen föreslås IHS-4 som det primära verktyget för skattning av inflammatorisk aktivitet och uppföljning av behandlingseffekten.

  • Prepubertala barn med HS bör remitteras till barnendokrinolog för vidare utredning avseende pubertas praecox. Är för trubbig för att användas för monitorering av behandlingseffekten.

    • 2nd line of treatment

    • Bladder instillations (that are performed in the office) using a bladder cocktail of Heparin, Solumedrol, and Lidocaine.

      VAS (Visual Analogue Scale), VRS (Verbal Rating Scale), NRS Pain (Numerical Rating Scale)

      Verktyg för skattning av smärta. It takes at least 3 months so see improvement in the symptoms. The symptoms of interstitial cystitis may go away over time, but there is no therapy that cures the disorder.

      Treatments include:

      • Dietary modification: Caffeinated beverages, alcohol, citrus fruits, spicy foods, and chocolate are just a few in a long list of foods that aggravate interstitial cystitis in some people.

        There is a long list of other medications that are not approved specifically for interstitial cystitis, but may offer relief.
